What is Reiki?

It is a therapy described as palms healing in which a practitioner’s places hands lightly over a patient’s body in order to facilitate the patient’s process of healing.

How does it work?

During a Reiki therapy session, patient typically lies down on a massage table. The Reiki practitioner places his or her hands over (or directly on top of) the patient body in various positions, starting from the crown of the head, according to Baldwin. “The Reiki energy’s flow through the practitioner’s, out of [his or her] hands to the person who lying on the table,” Baldwin said. The exact mechanisms which Reiki energy allegedly flows from one person to another is unknown, she added. And some Reiki master claim that they can treat patient without being anywhere near them — a practice known as “distance healing.

What Are Health Advantages?

According to practitioner, the healing effect are mediated by channelling the universal energy’s known as qi, pronounced “chi.” In India, known as “prana.” This is the same energy involved in tai chi exercises. It is the life force energy that some believe surround us all.
This energy permeates the body. Reiki expert point out that, while this energy is not measurable by modern scientific technique, it can be felt by many who tune into it. Reiki is alleged to aid relaxations, assisting the body natural healing process, and developing emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
It is said to induce deep relaxations, help people to cope with difficulties, relieve emotional stresses, and improve overall wellbeing.
